Public Art Walking Tour

Please join us for the Menomonee Valley Public Art Walking tour on Sunday, September 24th 2023 from 11:00am - 12:30pm. This is a one-way walking tour. We’ll begin near the “Tending the Fire” sculpture (1721 W Canal St) in front of Potawatomi Casino | Hotel and the Marquette Schimek Memorial Track & Field Facility. We will walk one mile down W. Canal St., across the Emmber Ln. Bridge and end near Brew City CrossFit on W. St. Paul Ave. Guests will be able to view nine various art installations throughout the route including sculptures, artistic screening, gateway signs, and murals. Afterwards, grab a drink and check out the murals at Third Space Brewery or lunch down the street at The Original Sobelman’s and view the “Bloody Beast” sculpture.

This one-mile walk is accessible for all, using city streets and the Hank Aaron State Trail. The walk will occur rain or shine.

Bus Route 24 has stops near our starting point. Or you can bike using the Hank Aaron State Trail. On street parking is available on Canal St., Emmber Ln and St. Paul Ave.

This walk is led by Menomonee Valley Partners as part of 2023 Doors Open Milwaukee.

This event is part of 2023 Valley Week, presented by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. Valley Week is an annual event that invites you to explore and experience Milwaukee's Menomonee River Valley!

You are invited to explore and experience the Valley at more than a dozen events in just one week. Including a happy hour river cruise, hard-hat tour, outdoor movie, kayak tour, and so much more, Valley Week showcases some must-do unique Valley experiences!

Proceeds from the events support Menomonee Valley Partners, a nonprofit organization formed in 1999 to revitalize the Menomonee River Valley.
