Cost: $35 before September 9 ($45 from September 9-21).

The Ultimate Beer Run is a fun and memorable high energy run/walk event with hops, high fives, a mid-point beer, and a finisher beer. Wow! Two complimentary beers and you don’t even have to wait until the end to cash in!

Half of the group will start at Third Space Brewing and make their way, some faster some slower, to City Lights Brewing where they will enjoy a delicately handcrafted beer. The other half of the group will start at City Lights and head to Third Space where they will enjoy their very own freshly brewed beer. After getting a taste of goodness at the midway point, registrants complete the loop to their starting points where their taste buds will bask in the goodness of yet another beer!

You can run, jog, walk, or crawl this 3.7k. Use caution, there are two gradual inclines. After rehydrating at the finish line, stick around for the day’s entertainment: food, fun, more beer, yard games, and lots of the best hits from the 90s to celebrate 20 years of transformation in the Menomonee River Valley.

In addition to your two complimentary beers, you’ll also receive a super soft t-shirt and $1 off beers for the WHOLE day at both breweries.

And if that wasn't enough, all proceeds from this crazy fun run support Menomonee Valley Partners (MVP), a nonprofit that has been working to revitalize the Menomonee River Valley for the last 20 years! It's MVP's 20th anniversary - thanks for making it a party! Top off the fun by donning your best 90s garb. The Valley isn’t the only thing that’s changed in the last 20 years.

For the incredibly reasonable cost of just $35 ($45 after September 8), you get:

  • to tell all your friends you dominated the Ultimate Beer Run (and we’ll leave the definition up to you!),

  • innumerable high fives as you pass runners going in the opposite direction,

  • TWO, yes TWO, incredible Milwaukee-made complimentary beers,

  • a super soft T-shirt,

  • $1 off each beer at City Lights Brewing and Third Space Brewing for the WHOLE day on September 21 (block the day!),

  • the satisfaction of knowing that all net proceeds will benefit Menomonee Valley Partners, a nonprofit that is working to make the Menomonee River Valley the best it can be.

Run around in one of these for the next year! On the road or at the brewery, spectators will surely be impressed! We have men’s and women’s cuts this year.

The first male and female finisher at each brewery will get the best gold medal of all, a growler full of a freshly brewed beer of their choice. You must stop and drink your midpoint beer to claim a prize!

Everyone who registers by September 8 is guaranteed a t-shirt. We'll order some extras, but they are first-come, first-served based on registration after September 8.

VOLUNTEERS

We need 8 volunteers to cheer on these runners and get them to the finish line - some might need more cheering than others. We’ll bring the cow bells and you bring your pointer finger and enthusiasm to keep people heading in the right direction! We’ll throw in a t-shirt and a beer for your good deed! Email Michelle@TheValleyMKE.org to volunteer.

MOUTH WATERING FOOD OPTIONS

There will be delicious, mouth watering food for purchase at the end of your journey at both breweries:

  • City Lights Brewing Company has a full menu

  • Third Space Brewing partners with 2ndKitchen which delivers straight to the tap room from Sobelman's

Some more important things to note:

  • This will be an OPEN course, meaning roads will not be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations. Please stay to one side of the sidewalk/trail – no one’s playing chicken and bikes might need to pass. We apologize in advance if a train decides to block the course for a few minutes. The railroad stops for no one!

  • You must be at least 21 to take part in this event. Bring a valid ID or driver’s license. Please drink responsibly.

  • We run rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather.

  • There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly.

  • This super fun-run starts at 11am sharp. Plan to arrive about 30 minutes prior to check-in, stretch your legs and drinking arm, and enjoy some pre-race festivities. In addition to your complimentary beers, there will be merchandise and food for sale from the breweries, food trucks, and plenty more beer!

  • Each brewery has a parking lot. Carpool to save the environment and don’t forget a designated driver.

  • Look for our informational email closer to the event. We will remind you of these details and share anything else you might need to know.
